A patient from Hong Kong lost
her cantilever bridge #13,#12 . We fixed temporary cantilever
bridge to her and planned for the implant in the next trip.
This case is a little bit complicated case to fix the implant
on the front teeth #12. The work was done by a skill oral
surgeon and supervised by the prosthodontist to create the
best job.
Patient 's smile line is too high and the bone thickness is
not enough.
So the surgeon must be careful to grow the bone and fix the
implant in the right position. The surgeon must expand bone at
the #12 and remove the autogenous bone from the retromolar
triangle at the lower jaw.
Titanium template is needed to hold the freeze dried bone and
autogenous bone to fill the area . Patient was fixed with the
temporary cantilever bridge on #12 #13 for at least 6 months.
This patient flew directly from Hong Kong to accomplish the
surgery and returned immediately after.
Normally we need 7-10 days to follow up the case but this is
exceptional because she is able to take an immediate flight to
Bangkok at any time.
She called back 3dyas later and 2 weeks after her return that
she had no encounter with any kind of post- surgical
complication.
